 Flameless Candle Rental

Do you need to rent candles for a special occasion or event? We have the answer. If you can't have real candles at your wedding venue, marquee or historic building, our flameless candles are just the thing you need. Our battery operated candles are ready to switch on whenever you want. We provide batteries in the candles to last for the length of your event. Many places are not allowing real candles due to increasing health and safety regulations. Our flameless candle hire scheme can lessen the expense of your event. Ideal for hotels, tents, boats and most other indoor and outdoor arenas. These candles never burn down and there's no heat or no mess to clear up afterwards.

A little bit more adventurous? Our hired taper candles were recently used at a charity night at Burton Court. Battery operated taper candles were hung from the rafters of the luxurious manor house to create a magical evening.

 Hire Terms & Conditions:

By making a payment for hire you agree to Terms And Conditions

1. Definitions and Law;

The complete Contract is the document or documents that set out these terms and conditions and all other details relevant to a particular agreement and is here inafter referred to as the "Contract". The Hired item(s) are those stated in the relevant Contract and are hereinafter referred to as the "Equipment" or “Candles”. The "Hirer" is the person, firm, company, corporation or public authority taking the Suppliers Equipment on hire. The parties to the Contract are the Supplier of the Equipment and the Hirer named in the Contract. This Contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of United Kingdom.

2. Ownership;

All Equipment remains the property of BatteryCandles.co.uk and is offered for hire subject to availability.

3. General Terms of Hire;

(a) All our candles are checked before being sent to you to ensure quality. If you notice any loss or damage we should be informed within 2 hours of candles arriving. All candles are checked upon return to ensure consistent quality, any candles that are damaged beyond reasonable usage or rehire  will incur a charge of the full retail price of the candle.

(b) We are happy for you to keep as many candles as you wish, these will be charged at the retail price as shown on the website at time of hire. We expect payment for any purchased items within 3 days of the hire period end.

(c) Late collection of candles due to the courier being unable to contact you will incur an extra change of 50p per candle per not collected day.

(d) All charges will be invoiced to you by post and/or deducted from your authorised debit/credit card.

(e) All hire charges and/or deposits are required before candles are sent to the Hirer

4. Period of Hire;

The candle hire of  will commence from the time Equipment arrives at the nominated address, and will continue until collection from the nominated address. See Delivery and Collection.

5. Booking;

Our stocks, whilst comprehensive, can be exhausted at peak times. We work strictly on a first come first served basis so please book early.

6. Extent of Contract;

The Contract will come into being between the Hirer and the Supplier when the Hirer has placed and paid for an order, detailing his requirements and  agreeing to be bound by these Conditions, and the Supplier has accepted the order and payment has been received.

7. Delivery & Collection;

Delivery dates and times shall be agreed in advance with the Hirer, the Supplier accepts no responsibility in the event that the dates,  times or location change without prior notification and that a new Contract of hire form is established by the Hirer and acknowledged by the Supplier. Delivery  times are approximate only & failure to deliver on the stated date or specific time shall not render us liable for damage, lost time or any other consequential loss or dissapointment. Hirers should ensure that they or their representatives are at the delivery address. Our delivery and collection charge is calculated per consignment, based on volume and weight. Deliveries and Collections are Monday to Saturday only. Our Courier can deliver and collect at any time between 8am and 6pm.

We can deliver guaranteed before 1pm. Our Courier requires a signature. Our Courier will do their best to get your parcel to you, if you are not in when they first call they will leave a card telling you they have tried to make the delivery. This enables you to contact them for a redelivery. If you do not contact them when to redeliver they will attempt a second delivery. Failure twice by Our Courier  to deliver means that your parcel will be kept at their depot for a limited period awaiting collection by you. If you fail to collect from their depot the parcel will then be returned to us at a cost, this cost will be passed on to you. We only pass on the cost the courier charges us. We can arrange collection or we will leave it to you to return the items by courier within 2 days of the hire period ending. If the goods are not at our address within the 2 day period then we shall charge a daily rate from the hire period end until the receipt of goods, as well as retaining the deposit.  If you require BatteryCandles.co.uk to arrange collection please advise the collection date when making the booking on the hire form.
All items must be returned in the original packing including outer cartons and any inner sleeves and casing. Failure to return the packaging will be made chargeable. Any missing or damaged items on arrival should be notified to us upon receipt of goods.

8. Cancellation Charges;

Will be charged if a confirmed order is cancelled at the following rate: 25% of hire charge.

9. The Hirer;

Has a responsibility to check that all items ordered are delivered and if any of the items are missing, wrong or faulty this should be drawn to the Suppliers attention on the receipt of delivery, to which every effort will be made to rectify the problem. The Supplier reserves the right to alter items to the nearest substitute if necessity arises. The Hirer shall not be entitled to withhold payment of any of the amount payable under the Contract because of any disputed claim of the Hirer in respect of defective services or any other alleged breach of Contract. The Hirer shall deemed to have accepted responsibility for the safe custody of everything hired. The Hirer's responsibility for the Equipment commences on the receipt of the Equipment by the Hirer or his agent or on delivery as requested and ends when the Supplier is in possession of the all the Equipment when the equipment is collected. The Hirer will not sell or otherwise part control of the Equipment without prior authority.

10. Damage;

During the period of hire all damage or loss is the responsibility of the Hirer and all loses will be charged for, (other than fair wear, and tear, and acts of god). Candles must be used correctly, they are not guaranteed indestructible, and must not be used as toys. As soon as your returned candles arrive we photograph immediately any damage found.

11. Non-returned, lost, stolen, damaged, or unclean Equipment;

The Hirer accepts full responsibility for the care, safekeeping and return in original packaging in good order of the Equipment. Damaged or uncleanable candles will be charged for, these cannot be returned to the hirer. If the hirer wishes to keep broken or soiled candles these should not be returned and they will be charged for as missing. All packaging must be returned as delivered. Full retail price is charged for damaged and lost items - including packaging.

12. Public Liability;

The Hirer shall at all times and in all respects indemnify the Supplier against and from, any and every expense, liability, financial loss, claim or proceedings whatsoever in respect of any personal injury whatsoever (including but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing. injury to the Hirer and injury to any servant, employee or agent of the Hirer) and in respect of damage to or loss of any property whatsoever arising out of or in connection with or consequent upon hire, delivery, use, misuse, non-use, repossession, collection, return or non-return of the Equipment or any thereof

13) Payment;

Payment is required for items before we send the consignment. This can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card via telephone,cheque or postal order. A completed order form should be emailed to sales@BatteryCandles.co.uk.co.uk which is available on request. A minimum deposit will be required dependant on qty hired.  Candles can be delivered before noon on the selected Hire Start Date. The charges will apply from delivery date until the Hire Period End Date.

14) Our Setup and Delivery Service - Optional;

Where required we are able to provide a supply and setup service. We will bring the candles to the event, place where required, and light the candles. We shall then turn off and pack up the candles after the event. The candles can be made available for sale after the event. All candles will tested and fitted with new batteries to ensure full operation. Our setup/collect charges are as follows per day: One Off Charge per day £150. Mileage. Using Google Maps as the mileage indicator you will be charged at .40p / mile to and from the destination.
