Our battery operated candles are made from fine grade wax, and some have a wax drip effect running downwards from the flickering led. The candle is switched on via a switch underneath the candle, where also lies the battery compartment. Flameless wax candles are almost impossible to tell apart from real candles as the effect of the random flicker mimics the air moving across a real candle. All wax battery candles are made to last for years and years and never burn down or most importantly - heat up!
