When picturing a relaxing and romantic bedroom, alongside soft bedsheets would no doubt be a candle or two.
When picturing a relaxing and romantic bedroom, alongside soft bedsheets would no doubt be a candle or two. In the final installment of our 'Candles in the Home' series, we have a selection of ideas on how to incorporate candles into the room in your house where you spend a good part of your day, the bedroom.
Etch Candle Holder
This Etch candle holder from Tom Dixon is one of our favourite flameless tealight holders for use in the bedroom, casting out a tiny constellation of light on whichever surface it is placed upon. Available in Brass, Copper and Stainless Steel, this £35 candle holder from Nest.co.uk has thousands of holes digitally cut into it to achieve its unique lighting effect.
Lighting a scented candle before bed can create a relaxed sleeping environment, especially if you use the soothing 'Vanilla' or 'Fresh Cotton' scents found in our scented battery candle range. Also if you were to accidentally fall asleep, you can do so without the risk of leaving an open flame burning.
Say It With Candles
Tealights are perfect for outlining words, shapes or pathways. In the photograph above, tealights have been used to create a heart, but other ideas include marking out a pathway to the bedroom, spelling out 'I Love You' or outlining the edges of the room. You can currently pick up a pack of eight flameless tealights from Battery Candles for £6.95, just in time for Valentine's Day.
